N.Y. in 1839; enlisted in Co.K, 2nd Inf., Apr. 20, 1861; became First Sergeant, July, 1863; wounded and taken prisoner in Knoxville, Nov. 24,1863; exchanged, Nov. 29; sent to Harper Hospital in March, 1864; discharged, May 25, 1864.
